Culinary Marvels: Buttery Cheese Delights
A list of essentials
1 (16oz) container of refrigerated buttery croissant dough (8 pastries)
4 ounces melted mozzarella (soft or shredded string cheese)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (one-half a stick)
1 teaspoon powdered garlic
1 teaspoon Italian spices
salt to taste
A series of steps to follow
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Unpack the pastries and even distribute mozzarella over each one. I opted for 4 ounces of malleable mozzarella chopped into eight cubes. Alternately, you may also use shredded mozzarella or string cheese, or venture into a different flavor terrain with cheddar or the like.
Secure the pastry around the melted cheese with your fingers by pressing and pinching firmly. Seal the dough ball tightly, ensuring that not a strand of cheese might escape the oven’s warmth.
Place the sealed pastries onto your baking sheet, ensuring all seal faces downwards. Pop them in the oven, and wait for 12-14 minutes, till the crust turns golden or your patience wears off, whichever comes first. Longer basking sessions can enhance melty delight.
Easy Garlic Butter Cheese Bombs
Ingredients
- 1 16oz container of refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese soft, shredded or diced string cheese
- 4 tbsp melted butter half a stick
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the biscuits and top each one evenly with cheese. I used 4 ounces of soft mozzarella cut into 8 cubes. You can also use shredded mozzarella, string cheese or even cheddar if you’d like.
- Wrap the dough around the cheese and make a seal using your fingers to press and pinch the dough together. You really want to make sure you create a tight seal so that the cheese doesn’t try to escape while baking.
- Place each cheese stuffed dough ball seal side down onto your baking sheet; bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown. The longer you can bake them, the better. You want the cheese to melt all the way through.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in the microwave and then stir in the garlic powder, Italian seasoning and salt.
- As soon as the biscuits emerge from the oven, generously brush each one with the butter mixture.
- These biscuits are best served fresh and warm. Enjoy
