
Cake de Rêve au Café au Mocha
Indulge in this sumptuous Mocha Mousse Cake, where rich, velvety chocolate and intense coffee flavors converge. A show-stopping dessert that will satisfy any sweet tooth, consisting of layers of moist chocolate cake, airy mocha mousse, and creamy whipped cream.
Ingredients:
Cake:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ cup buttermilk
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
½ cup hot espresso
Mocha Mousse:
1 cup heavy cream
¼ cup confectioner’s sugar
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1 tsp instant espresso powder
Whipped Cream:
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp confectioner’s sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Chocolate shavings/cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions:
Bake the Cake: Preheat the oven to 180°C. Combine dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, soda, salt). Add wet ingredients (buttermilk, oil, egg, vanilla). Stir in hot espresso. Pour into a greased 20cm cake pan, bake for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
Mocha Mousse: Heat ½ cup cream, melt chocolate chips with espresso powder. Let cool. Whip remaining cream with sugar to stiff peaks, fold into cooled chocolate. Chill for 1 hour.
Whipped Cream: Whip cream, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
Assembly: Spread mocha mousse over the cake, top with whipped cream. Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder.
