Ingredients:
1 lb cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen) 🍝
1 lb beef steak (ribeye or flank), thinly sliced 🥩
1 large onion, thinly sliced 🧅
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced 🫑
1 cup mushrooms, sliced 🍄
2 tbsp olive oil 🫒
2 cups provolone cheese, shredded 🧀
1 ½ cups heavy cream 🥛
1 tbsp butter 🧈
2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste 🧂
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) 🌿
Instructions:
Cook the Tortellini: Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Cheesesteak Filling: In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Sauté the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
Make the Provolone Sauce: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Gradually add the shredded provolone cheese, stirring constantly until melted and smooth. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper.
