Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the seasoned chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the sour cream and onion soup mix.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken in the skillet.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, feel free to add dried herbs to the sour cream mixture or layer fresh spinach in the skillet. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze for later.
