Sausage, Egg, and Cream Cheese Hashbrown Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 lbs ground breakfast sausage
  • 32 OZ frozen shredded hashbrowns
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • Green onions to use as garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven
  • The oven should be heated to 350 degrees F (175degC). Grease a baking dish 9x13 inches with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Cook the Sausage
  • In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until it's brown and completely cooked. Then, drain any excess fat and put aside.
  • Whisk the Eggs
  • Mix the eggs salt, milk, and pepper in the bowl of a large one until they are fully mixed.
  • Combine Ingredients
  • Combine the sausage that has been cooked, cream cheese that has been softened and the shredded hashbrowns into another large bowl until well blended.
  • Assemble the Casserole
  • Add the hashbrown and sausage mixture to the baking dish that you prepared. Add the eggs on top and stir gently to ensure that everything is evenly dispersed.
  • Sprinkle cheddar cheese shredded over the top, as you like.
  • Bake
  • Cook the dish in a oven preheated for 45-50 minutes, or till the eggs have cooked and golden.
  • Serve
  • Allow the casserole to cool for 5-10 mins before cutting. Sprinkle with green onions, if you like then serve hot.
