Preheat the Oven
The oven should be heated to 350 degrees F (175degC). Grease a baking dish 9x13 inches with butter or non-stick spray.
Cook the Sausage
In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until it's brown and completely cooked. Then, drain any excess fat and put aside.
Whisk the Eggs
Mix the eggs salt, milk, and pepper in the bowl of a large one until they are fully mixed.
Combine Ingredients
Combine the sausage that has been cooked, cream cheese that has been softened and the shredded hashbrowns into another large bowl until well blended.
Assemble the Casserole
Add the hashbrown and sausage mixture to the baking dish that you prepared. Add the eggs on top and stir gently to ensure that everything is evenly dispersed.
Sprinkle cheddar cheese shredded over the top, as you like.
Bake
Cook the dish in a oven preheated for 45-50 minutes, or till the eggs have cooked and golden.
Serve
Allow the casserole to cool for 5-10 mins before cutting. Sprinkle with green onions, if you like then serve hot.
