  • 4 patties Patties Original BUBBA burger
  • 8 slices Sourdough Bread Use fresh sourdough for best flavor
  • 12 oz Havarti Cheese Melted over the patties
  • 1/2 cup Quick Caramelized Onions Caramelized to enhance sweetness
  • 1/2 cup Pre-Cooked Bacon Crumbles Crispy for added texture
  • 2 tbsp Salted Butter For toasting the bread

Cooking the Burgers

  • Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the BUBBA burgers in the skillet and pan fry them for about 5-7 minutes on each side, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.

Building the Sandwiches

  • Lay out four slices of sourdough bread on a cutting board.
  • Top each slice with half of the Havarti cheese, followed by portions of the caramelized onions and bacon.
  • Place a cooked burger on top of the layers before adding the remaining cheese and final slices of bread.

Grilling the Sandwiches

  • Butter the exterior of the sandwiches generously.
  • Cook the sandwiches in the skillet or on a flat top for a few minutes on each side until the bread is golden-brown and the cheese is melty.
  • Remove the sandwiches from the pan and let them rest for about 1 minute before serving.

Notes

For best results, don't rush the caramelization of the onions. You can freeze the sandwiches for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven for optimal texture.
