Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter with peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix until the texture becomes creamy.
  • Beat in the vanilla extract, egg, baking soda, and salt.
  • Slowly mix in the all-purpose flour until the cookie dough forms.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the dough.
  • Scoop two-tablespoon-sized cookie dough balls onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.
  • Chill the cookie dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Using the tines of a fork, gently press the cookie dough balls flat.
  • Bake the cookies for 8 to 12 minutes, or until they are slightly brown on the bottom and the tops lose their wet look.
