Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Milk Can use almond or oat milk for dairy-free option
  • 1/4 cup Sugar Can substitute with honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup Butter Can use coconut oil for dairy-free version
  • 2 teaspoons Yeast (instant) Use instant yeast for convenience
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavors

Filling Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon The star of our filling
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar Alternatively, use coconut sugar

Optional Icing Ingredients

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar For drizzling
  • 2 tablespoons Milk Or cream cheese for a richer icing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Mix in melted butter, salt, and flour gradually until a dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Once risen, roll out the dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
  • Spread softened butter over the surface and sprinkle generously with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Roll the dough tightly starting from the long edge to create a log.
  • Slice the log into 1-inch pieces and arrange in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 10 minutes.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • If desired, mix powdered sugar and milk and drizzle it over the warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
