Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauce

  • 12 large large pasta shells Cook until al dente for best results.
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Homemade sauce adds extra flavor.

Cheesy Filling

  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with turkey or plant-based ground meat.
  • 1 cup cottage cheese Ricotta cheese works well too.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese More can be added on top for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seasoning

  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Garnish

  • to taste Fresh parsley For garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the pasta shells and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • In a bowl, mix the beef mixture with cottage cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan until well combined.

Assembly and Baking

  • Carefully fill each pasta shell with the cheesy beef filling.
  • Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place the stuffed shells on top, cover with remaining marinara sauce, and sprinkle with extra mozzarella if desired.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove foil for the last 5 minutes to allow cheese to bubble.

Notes

For healthier options, use whole wheat pasta, lean turkey, or plant-based alternatives. Avoid overcooking the pasta for best results.
