Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, mix the vanilla wafer crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x9-inch dish, creating a solid crust.
  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined. Spread this creamy mixture over the crust, spreading to the edges.
  • In a third bowl, whisk together the milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until it thickens slightly. Fold in half of the crushed candy canes. Pour this mixture over the cream cheese layer, spreading evenly.
  • Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer. Sprinkle the remaining crushed candy canes on top for that festive flair.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. This allows the flavors to meld perfectly.

Notes

You can prepare it a day or two in advance. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. Freezing for up to a month is also possible; just thaw in the fridge before serving.
