  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted Provides richness and sauce.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh minced garlic is best.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice Keeps the dish bright.
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest Enhances the lemon flavor.
  • to taste Salt Wakes up the whole dish.
  • to taste Pepper Basic seasoning.
  • optional Paprika For added warmth.
  • optional Lemon slices For topping, if available.
  • optional Chopped parsley or dill For garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels.
  • Place the fillets in a baking dish and sprinkle them with salt, pepper, and paprika (if using).
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  • Pour the mixture over the fish, and add lemon slices on top if you have them.

Cooking

  • Bake for 10 to 14 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Check at 10 minutes to avoid overbaking.
  • Finish with chopped parsley or dill if desired.

Notes
