Succulent Chocolate Cake with Velvet Chocolate Glaze

This decadent, velvety chocolate cake smothered in a rich chocolate glaze is the ultimate indulgence for any chocolate aficionado.

Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1½ tsp baking powder
1½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
For the Glaze:
1 cup heavy cream
8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
2 tbsp butter

Instructions:
Concoct the Cake:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch pans.
Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium for 2 minutes.
Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour into pans.
Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Prepare the Glaze:
Heat cream until it simmers.
Pour over chopped chocolate in a bowl. Let sit for 2-3 minutes, then stir until smooth.
Add butter and stir until glossy.
Assemble the Cake:
Drizzle glaze over the first cake layer, then top with the second.
Pour the remaining glaze over the cake, allowing it to flow down the sides.
Notes:
Brush the cake layers with simple syrup for extra moisture.
Ensure the cake is fully cooled before adding glaze.
