INGREDIENTS  

  • – 3-4 pounds chuck roast
  • – 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) au jus gravy mix
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter
  • 5-6 pepperoncini peppers
  • Add salt and pepper as desired

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • 1. Begin by seasoning the roast with salt and pepper on all sides.
  • 2. Place the roast that has been seasoned in the slow cooker.
  • 3. Spread the Ranch Dressing Mix as well as au gravy mix in a uniform manner over the roast.
  • 4. Sprinkle the butter that is not salted over the roast.
  • 5. Sprinkle the pepperoncini peppers over the roast.
  • 6. The slow cooker should be covered by the lid and cook over low for about 8 to 8 hours or so until meat becomes cooked through and easily shredded using an fork.
  • 7. When the roast is done Use tongs to transfer it onto a serving plate.
  • 8. Chop the meat with two forks.
  • 9. Serve the shreds of Mississippi Pot Roast with the sauce from the cooking and pepperoncini peppers drizzled over the top.
