INGREDIENTS  

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb (450g) ground meat or Italian sausage
  • 1 onion chopped finely
  • – 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (24-ounce) bottle of marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried, smoky basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper according to your preference
  • – 2 cups (475g) ricotta cheese
  • – 1 large egg
  • – 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley diced (for garnish)

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • 1. The oven should be heated to 375 degrees (190degC).
  • 2. Make lasagna noodles according to instructions on the packet until they’re al in the middle. Remove the noodles and place them aside.
  • 3. In a large skillet on medium-high heat, cook the ground meat or Italian sausage until it is browned. Add chopped onions and minced garlic. Cook until tender and delicious.
  • 4. Incorporate marinara sauce, dried oregano, dried basil as well as salt and pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for approximately 10 minutes and allow the flavors to blend.
