INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 lbs (680g) ground meat (or a mixture of pork and beef)
- One onion finely chopped
- – 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs
- – 2 eggs
- 14 cup (60ml) of ketchup
- – 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- – 1/2 teaspoon black or red pepper
- – 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175degC).
- 2. In a large mixing bowl mix the ground beef chopped onion chopped garlic and breadcrumbs eggs, ketchup and dried oregano, Worcestershire sauce dry parsley, salt black pepper and milk. Make use of either your hands or spoons to blend it until everything is thoroughly combined.
- 3. Put the meat mixture in the loaf pan and press it down to make it even.
- 4. Place the loaf pan in a baking dish and cover it with aluminum foil, then bake in the oven preheated for 30 minutes.
- 5. In the 30th minute, you can remove the foil, and bake for another 20-25 mins, up to the point that it has cooked to perfection and the top has been nicely cooked.
- 6. Once the meatloaf is cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven. leave it to cool for a while before cutting it into pieces.
- 7. Serve meatloaf pieces alongside your favorite dishes such as mashed potatoes, steaming vegetables or even a side salad.
